Trish Cieslek, owner of the Perfect Setting, presented Highlands Center for Autism Director with donation. |
Trish Cieslek, owner of the Perfect Setting in McDowell, KY, wanted to do something to honor the mothers of children with autism. Her solution was to donate a percentage of the sales from her business to the Highlands Center for Autism during the month prior to Mother’s Day. Trish stated, “I have friends who have children with autism and I have seen the struggles they face, and I have seen the progress made by the children at the Center for Autism. My goal was to create awareness and promote a ‘grassroots’ effort to encourage other Floyd County businesses to help the Center for Autism.”
The Perfect Setting contribution of $250.00 was presented to Highlands Center for Autism Director Dr. Shelli Deskins and will be used for scholarships to allow additional children to attend the Center. Highlands Center for Autism is the only center- based program in Kentucky using Applied Behavior Analysis treatment in a clinical educational setting.
